We’ve probably filmed more wedding videos at The Green, Cornwall, than any other single venue – but this one needed to be different…by order of the Peaky Blinders! A very special theme for the day, that was the perfect backdrop to a day full of fun, frolics and pretend firearms.

Bouncing between the main bridal party cottage, and the new, custom built building for hair stylists, bridal prep is always fun at The Green. Loads of light, loads of space, loads of laughs.

It was our first chance to see the reception room – themed table names (and all the wedding stationary!) looked amazing. And as the guests filtered in, the 1930s outfits looks incredible too!!
Indoor Barn Ceremony at The Green, Cornwall – a perfect space for wedding filming
The rustic barn is beautiful not just for your guests, but for your wedding video as well. Fairy lights, original barn doors, red brick walls – it’s genuinely stunning. With the flower archway at the front (always beautiful, but tricky for wedding video or photo to see your faces and emotions from our usual spot), we set up at the back of the barn.

One of the great advantages of The Green for wedding video is that huge range of couples photos locations, all within a 5 minute walk.

From the excitement of walking down the aisle and out of the barn, to photos under the arbour. Then a quick walk down towards the lake, going through the winding path (lovely patches of light), and through the field! So many options!

Reception Fun in Your Wedding Video: A Peaky Blinders Party to Remember
The Green, Cornwall is great for when the party kicks into high gear. As guests are asked to move down to the bar, to allow staff to turn the room around, evening entertainment sets up as well. In this case, evening entertainment was a laser shooting gallery – with Peaky Blinders targets!
We obviously filmed endless video clips of guests locked in high score battle, but also got to play as well. (*Cough* we may have beaten both the photographer and our second camera operator)
As the sun set fully, the first dance began – a beautiful, tender moment…that ended with a bang!! CONFETTI CANONS ARE AMAZING!

And then heading our one last time with the couple in the pitch black, with one specific objective in mind – one of our favourite props for a wedding – SMOKE GRENADES!
Setting up a light behind the couple, we were able to light the smoke and create some real drama in the shot. The Peaky Blinders would have been proud.
